2nd Dieter Rams Forum Discussion evening on the topic of studying design at a technical university As part of the Dieter and Ingeborg Rams exhibitions, a discussion with representatives of both universities and De’Longhi/Braun took place on 23 February 2024 at the Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt am Main with designs by students from Delft and Milan. The topic of discussion was the special relationship between a design department and the neighbouring technical departments. Extensive centrally located and technically outstanding workshops are open to all members of the university. They promote the design process in many areas and follow a progressive model. An extensive theoretical programme also enables critical reflection on design. Both universities have a high proportion of international students, which creates an intercultural atmosphere that is particularly appreciated.
